Line 1 of the Hanoi Metro (Long Bien Line) is a planned metro line from Ngoc Hoi to Yen Vien (Phase 1 and 2), while Phase 3 is a line from Gia Lam to Duong Xa.

Line name: Long Bien Line (Long Biên Line).
Total length: 38 km.
Number of stations: 23 stations.

Line 1 will run along the path of the current Vietnam Railways line between Ngoc Hoi and Hanoi, and Hanoi to Yen Vien. The metro line will replace national railways operating in this corridor. Hanoi railway station will be a metro station for Line 1 and Line 3.

Line 1 will branch off from Gia Lam to Duong Xa in Phase 3.

The line will be completed in 3 phases:

Phase 1: Ngọc Hồi – Hà Nội railway station – Gia Lâm (15.4 km)
Phase 2: Gia Lâm – Yên Viên (13.3 km)
Phase 3: Gia Lâm – Dương Xá (10 km)
